https://t.co/BqHmC6e0m8

https://t.co/pbYUuT1KPI

Fact check: Is Germany throwing away vaccine doses?
Bavaria gave us concrete numbers on discarded vaccines: 0.2% of all vaccine doses in the state had to be thrown away. In absolute numbers that means 3,021 of 1,608,150 administered doses (March 1, 2021) according to a spokesperson for the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care.
Covid-19 vaccine waste is about to go up in the US
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of May 24, 0.44% of the more than 353 million doses that have been delivered to states are wasted—that’s roughly 1.55 million doses.
Vaccine wastage is one of the many challenges authorities balance during historic rollout
In France, authorities have allowed for up to 30 per cent of their vaccines to be wasted.
And in historical vaccine rollouts, principally in developing countries, the WHO has typically seen a 50 per cent wastage rate.
