ワクチン2回、3回接種率が高いおかげで致死率が低い、と。

 


It is a question that has plagued the pandemic, sparking furious debate over Britain’s dinner tables. Is coronavirus really any more deadly than flu?

Before the vaccine roll-out and omicron surge, the answer was undoubtedly: “yes”

However, the situation has changed dramatically in the last few weeks. The millions of cases sparked by the omicron wave have translated into relatively few deaths, bringing an important change in the deadliness of Covid.


インフルよりコロナは命取りか。ワクチン普及する前、オミクロン出現前では、答えはイエス、しかし、この数週間で話は変わった、と。




“Because of our high vaccine rate, and because of our booster rate, we are not in a situation like other parts of the country that have lower vaccination rates, where there are very high numbers of death, where they’re not able to staff their hospitals adequately,” Dr. Grant Colfax, San Francisco’s director of health, said at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting




オミクロンが弱毒化もあるのかもしれないけど、やはり、ワクチン接種の普及というのが大きいだろう。
