While he was in high school, Emanuel cut his finger on a meat slicer while working at an Arby's restaurant. He delayed getting medical attention so that he could go to his prom, but the injury became infected and he nearly died. Emanuel recovered but is now missing half of the middle finger on his right hand.

I mentioned, for example -- this was a couple of years ago -- I pointed out that Rahm when he was a kid had lost part of his finger in an accident, and it was his middle finger, so it rendered him mute for a while. (Laughter.)

ちょっとググると、多少、記憶違いー子供時代→高校 プール→舞踏会 ワシントンでは→しばらく ーはあると思うんだが、よくご存知ですね・・・・わたしなんかぜーーーーんぜん知らんかった。
