Weiberfastnachtは、男性に比べて権力がない女性が、男性の権力の象徴とされる「ネクタイ」をはさみで切ることで、一日だけ主導権を握るという意味合いで発展してきたものです。今日のドイツ社会では、徐々に男女平等が進んできていますが、長く愛されてきたこの文化は、いまだに根強く残っています。
