Singapore toughens workplace Covid rules
People must be fully jabbed or recovered, or face daily testing, starting in January

Singapore, where 83% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated, has been grappling with a surge in Covid cases over the past four weeks, with numbers above 3,000 on most days, though the vast majority show no or very mild symptoms. On Saturday it reported 3,637 new infections, up from 3,439 the day before, and 14 deaths.

Health Minister Ong said that there is no sign of COVID-19 cases falling in Singapore and it will take time for this to happen.
“As more people get boosted, as individuals who are vaccinated catch the virus and experience only mild flu-like symptoms, the antibodies and the immunity in our society will build up over time.
“When that happens, you will see cases falling, and then we can open up social and economic activities without cases rising very rapidly,” he said
