Ukraine’s forgotten Roma

 

G20が開催する国でプーチンを国際刑事裁判所に訴えて、その国で逮捕することはできないのか？


やっぱ現実には無理みたいだね。


ポグロム（погром、パグローム）とは、ロシア語で「破滅」、「破壊」を意味する言葉である。特定の意味が派生する場合には、加害者の如何を問わず、ユダヤ人に対し行なわれる集団的迫害行為（殺戮・略奪・破壊・差別）を言う。

過去には酷い反ユダヤ主義はあったが、いまはない。

In a country which suffered terribly at the hands of the Nazis during World War II, pogroms against an ethnic minority have somehow become commonplace.


“Roma people were just taken out of their homes and they had to run away. They were attacked by a group of young people who had gas sprays and other things, but because nobody had died at that time, there was not a lot of reaction from the state and then there were other attacks.”

The first fatality came at another temporary camp on the outskirts of Lviv one night in June when 24-year-old David Popp was stabbed to death by knife-wielding youths. His widow, Iboya, showed us the wounds she received that night.

“There were 17 of us who were stabbed,” she told us. “When they were stabbing David my mind went blank. I didn’t understand anything … I was crying: ‘Don’t hurt the child! Don’t! He’s a child!'”

ロマ/ジプシーに対する暴力、殺害が行われており、警察も見ぬふりーーーロマや黒人茶褐色系の迫害は現存するんですね。

　苦渋の決断、悪魔との取引して、不当な要求を飲まなくては行けない、ということはある。

　５万人民間人が死んで、国中の主要都市が廃墟になって５００万の難民を出す*1のと、住民の人権は制限されるかもしれないけど、住民はそちらに住みたい言っている特定地域について*2、実質、ロシアに渡すのとどちらを選ぶ？と言われたらどちらを選ぶ？

　ゼレンスキー大統領は国民投票が念頭*3にあるのかもしれないけど、その地域の住民投票でもいいのではないか、と思うよ。で、反対にまわった住民はウクライナの他地域に移住の権利と生活保障を与える、と。

 　投票も国際機関が公正を保障するとか細かい部分はいろいろあるだろうが・・・国民全部が死ぬ危険にさらされるのと一部の地域についてその人々について合意がある場合にその地域ではロシアのように制限された人権しかないとしてもその地域を手放すか・・・・理不尽な選択だが究極的には本人たちに選んでもらうしかない。

Zelensky said in a video address to the Ukrainian people late on Sunday that in talks due to take place in Istanbul his government would prioritise the "territorial integrity" of Ukraine.


But in comments made to Russian journalists earlier in the day, Zelensky adopted a different tone, saying Ukraine was willing to assume neutral status and compromise over the status of the eastern Donbas region as part of a peace deal.



日本で、そういう地域があるか、どうか？沖縄が独立して、実質中国の支配下入りたいかどうか？沖縄の大半の人ががそうした選択をしたならば、中国と戦争をするより、沖縄を手放す、ということは論理的にありえない話ではない。
