But then he goes on to suggest that before French colonialism, it was the Turkey who colonized the area. What’s disturbing is the fact the idea of colonization is talked about in a liberal and logical manner, stripping out of its subjugation and occupation.

From this perspective, Russia turns out not really internationally isolated and its economy may survive sanctions; thus a much more powerful China would have a better chance to endure the consequences of a conflict and emerge victorious.

日本の軍事的自立を否定している米国との同盟関係を解消し、武装中立の道を歩む必要がある。

日本共産党と同じじゃね？

それとも武器提供することで国際支援している国々と同様に、日本も武器提供すべきだ、また、

日本もスエーデンのように徴兵制を導入すべきだ、と言っているのか？

　ウクライナの個別自衛権は理解できる。米欧の武器提供も理解できる。スエーデンの徴兵制も理解できる。しかし、日本は、ウクライナに関しては声援と人道支援だけ。防弾チョッキの提供も反対・・・という共産党と同じじゃないか、と思うんだがね。

IS CONSUMPTION TAX REGRESSIVE? A LIBERTARIAN PERSPECTIVE Conference Paper · August 2017 

 The regressivity claim by detractors of consumption tax is further refuted in a later Canadian case study. Researching in Quebec, Godbout and St-Cerny (2011) disproved the belief that the province’s consumption tax was regressive, despite popular opinion to the contrary. Using data from Statistics Canada’s 2008 Survey of Household Spending, they examined taxable and non-taxable spending among five quintiles of household incomes. Because of the exclusion of certain goods and services from GST/PST, and refundable credits, the share of GST/PST paid by the lowest 20% income bracket was 2.6%, whereas the share paid by the highest income bracket was 44.1%. This demonstrated that consumption tax, particularly in the form of a RST, brings in larger sums from the wealthy not so much by design as by default. They pay more tax because they purchase more. This will form a core argument of the libertarian defense of consumption tax, as it suggests those who acquire the most property pay the proportionate amount for the protection of that property.
Atkinson さんとかは消費税も軽減税率にすれば逆進的ではない、という意見なんだろうね。
景気への悪影響を和らげる政策としては、全世帯に同一額を一律に給付する方が、簡単であり、効果も高い。一律給付の方が、増税により消費が抑制される低所得世帯の負担の軽減が大きくなり、経済全体の消費への好影響は必ず大きくなるのである。さらに高所得者層を給付の対象から除外することができれば、公平性の観点からより望ましくなるだけでなく、より少ない財源で消費の押し上げを実現できる。

池田氏は、消費税の逆進性を前提に低所得世帯に一律給付をすれば逆進性は救済される、みたいな感じだろうか？

一律な消費税は、所得に対しては逆進的だが、消費に対しては累進的だ、と強弁する論者もいるが、そういう意味ではあるまい。「税の不公平は」と言っているところをみると、

と言いたかったのか？

ここらへん、ツイッター論壇のあいまいなところだね。


こうした方針に至ったのは、ロシアの中産階級の間では侵攻を支持する割合が高く、中途半端な形での幕引きで不満が高まることを警戒したからだという。
 

 納得出来ないけど・・・言語は難しいね。

There is growing evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine, including signs of indiscriminate shelling and summary executions, the United Nations human rights office says, adding Ukraine also appeared to have used weapons with indiscriminate effects.

During a mission to Bucha on April 9, UN human rights officers documented the unlawful killing, including by summary execution, of around 50 civilians, it said.

They have received more than 300 allegations of killings of civilians in the regions of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy, all under the control of Russian armed forces in late February and early March.

Monitors were looking into allegations of sexual violence by members of the Russian armed forces, and reports that both sides were improperly detaining civilians, the organisation said.

However, asked about allegations of genocide - including by US President Joe Biden - spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said OHCHR had not found information to back this up.

　国連によると無差別砲撃、即決処刑などロシアによる違法な殺害の証拠が積み上がっている、と。

　ただし、法的に限定された意味での「民族虐殺」といえるかどうかは、最終的には司法が決定するものであり、その件に関する情報は見出していない、と

ーーーロシアによる違法で大量な殺害はあった、しかし、それがジェノサイドとよべるかどうかは、さらに満たすべき要件があり、わからない、ということであろう。
