After Hamas launched an attack into Israel on Oct. 7, killing about 1,400 people and taking more than 200 hostages, Israel imposed a total blockade on the Gaza Strip, which is running out of water, food, medicines and fuel for its 2.3 million people. On Monday, aid workers and security sources said a third convoy of aid trucks entered the Rafah crossing from Egypt bound for Gaza. Rafah is the main crossing that does not border Israel. U.N. officials say about 100 trucks a day are needed to meet essential needs in Gaza.
