”That's wonderful. Go and love some more.”

 

 この前久しぶりに、映画　”Harold and Maude”　観たらやっぱ傑作だったわ。思想がある。 

Harold: (crying) I love you!

Maude: Oh, Harold... That's wonderful. Go and love some more.
これもいいんだけど、

He puts a tiny ring box on the table.

HAROLD
(continuing)
... which I hope will make
you very happy.

Oh, I am happy, Harold.
Ecstatically happy. I couldn't
imagine a lovelier farewell.

HAROLD
Farewell?

MAUDE
Why yes. It's my eightieth
birthday.

HAROLD
But you're not going anywhere, are you?

MAUDE
Oh yes, dear. I took the pills
an hour ago. I should be gone
by midnight.

ここらへんのやりとりがいいね。

三島由紀夫だって８０くらいまで待っても良かったのに。


 「ハロルドとモード」　なんと日本では、黒柳徹子さんが主役で公演しているんだね。


 大丈夫だったわ・・・よかった。

It was noticed that his spinal column was crooked, his head seated on his shoulder blades, and that one leg was shorter than the other. Moreover, there was no fracture of the vertebrae at the nape of the neck, and it was evident that he had not been hanged. Hence, the man to whom it had belonged had come thither and had died there. When they tried to detach the skeleton which he held in his embrace, he fell to dust.

もう何十年もみてないわ。
