What It's Like to Study at the Strictest School in Britain The school’s 484 pupils study in an atmosphere of rigid austerity. ‘Demerits’ are given out for the slightest errors: forgetting a pen, slouching, turning to look out of a window during a lesson. Two demerits in one class equals a detention. “That’s another demerit… you’re too disorganized,” an English teacher tells one girl who’s struggled to find her textbook in the allocated ten seconds. 

 The school day is run with military precision. Everything, from lessons to lunch, is timed to the second, with the aid of large digital clocks placed in each room. Teachers often give their classes a timeframe in which to accomplish a task—“Ten seconds to take out your books and open them to page 32”—before counting down backwards. The transition between classes is also timed, and completely silent. A black line runs down the center of the corridor carpets, and children are expected to silently proceed either side to their next classes. Eagle-eyed teachers stand ready to reprimand those who walk too slowly. Every detail is designed to maximize the amount of learning time. In the student bathrooms, there are no mirrors, lest they distract the students. 
My high school had the following rules (among the other basic ones of no fighting etc):

Our classes were labelled A,S,P,I,R,E to keep in theme with the school motto, and for assembly we had to line up with our classes in that exact order, with everyone in the class in alphabetical order, even if it was pouring it down or snowing

Girls socks cannot have bows or lace

Hair accessories must be navy or grey

You must wear your blazer AND jumper for the entirety of the school day, regardless of whether it’s 30 degrees or not

Socks must be grey, but for Physical Education you wear white socks

No coats, hats, gloves on indoors, yet we had to sit out mock exams with gas burners on that gave us terrible headaches because it was so cold. I remember having to move classrooms a few times because our maths classroom had no heating and the teacher refused to be in such a cold room

Shirts must be tucked in or you will receive an after school detention

(and these were at a completely average public school in Greater Manchester, not a strict academy or anything like that)
　いまでもすごそうだなあ。

　おれのいた都立高は私服で規則ゼロ。髪型も自由。女子が化粧してたし、男子は近くの喫茶店でサボってたり、酒のんで赤い顔して授業にでてたのもいたな。遅刻しもて遅刻とカウントしてなかったのには生徒のおれもびっくりした。早退した友人の代返を声を変えてしてたわ、おれーーいい思い出。俺は早退などせず、休むときはそもそも学校に行かなかった。

  まあ、どうでもいいんだけど、話題作りはうまいんだな。 形式的にでも「もう、◯◯　さんたら！　□□じゃないでしょ！」とかまってもらいたいんだと思う。（しかし、「かまう」ともっとどうしようもない親父ギャグやられて疲れる・・・・かもしれない）

深いね。
記憶もなく、自分が誰だかもわからない、そんな場所ですべて新しく始めたいんだろうね。 
また、記憶のない海はわれわれの故郷を象徴しているのかもしれない。

 　このひとは質問に答えられるから、わりに知能があるほうだと思う。おれの友人なんかは、質問に答えないで、質問から連想したことを勝手に話しだす。

　質問者は、たぶん境界知能の人は初めて。子供が自己中心的なように、相手の立場にたったり、相手に気を使うということができないから、雑談についていけない。

　ただ、障害者に対するこういう理解は必須だと思う。おれも理解できるまで、腹たって友人をどなりまくっていた。
